Who should appoint an EU representative? According to the GDPR, organizations that are located outside the EU, but process personal data of individuals in the EU, must in certain situations obtain a GDPR EU appoint a representative. This is especially true for organizations that offer goods or services to EU citizens or monitor the behavior of EU citizens, even if they do not have a physical presence in the EU.

The representative in GDPR will act for the organization on compliance in GDPR and liaise with data protection authorities within the Union and be a point of contact for data subjects.
